Racin' for Bacon

When Smithfield wanted to bring bold energy to the fall 2019 Talladega race, we rallied fans near and far hoping to turn a Smithfield win into a reason to celebrate with a million slices of bacon. The “Racin’ for Bacon” campaign—built around NASCAR driver Aric Almirola—offered fans a chance to win 1,000,000 slices if Aric repeated his 2018 victory.

Launched live on NBCSN’s NASCAR America, the campaign drove over 48,000 entries, 35MM+ impressions, and earned major media coverage through integrated content, social media, and on-site activations. From contributor segments and in-race broadcast integration to on-site activation at Talladega, the promotion delivered national buzz, brand love, and fan engagement at scale.
